CAT-5 Interconnect Operating and Accounting software is the most user friendly, service oriented, CPA-compliant, double entry, integrated accounting system designed specifically for the telecommunications industry! 

CAT-5 was conceived, designed and written for the sole purpose of helping you run your interconnect sales and service company.  Time is your company’s precious commodity that relentlessly evaporates and is otherwise exhausted by many non-productive activities. CAT-5 Data Repository and Data Integrity

We know the accuracy and integrity of your company accounting data is paramount to stable financial reporting. As a result, CAT-5 utilizes Microsoft MSDE/SQL Server for data storage. Microsoft MSDE/SQL Server is unparalleled in its ability to maintain a fault tolerant, robust, error free database. If you have been around computers for any length of time, or if you have used an accounting system or database that was subject to data corruption, you KNOW that there are few things worse than trying to "fix" corrupted database tables. With CAT-5's transaction rollback feature on all posting functions, you can work with confidence knowing that if the network goes down during a posting routine, your data is secure. You don't have to worry about losing 1/2 of a transaction. If the posting routine is interrupted for any reason, all database updates and transactions are automatically rolled back to the point before the posting routine started, effectively maintaining data integrity, as if the posting never occurred.

CAT-5 Live!Update

Many database programs, especially accounting systems that are used by small to mid-sized companies, do not implement a reliable update process and have no ability to distribute and install program and database updates throughout a network installation. CAT-5 implements a "Live!Update" feature that automatically checks for, and downloads, updates to the program. The CAT-5 Live!Update feature not only ensures that you receive timely updates to your program, but it also distributes and installs those updates to each CAT-5 workstation on the network. All you have to do is designate (in CAT-5 preferences) a specific workstation with an internet connection, to be the CAT-5 Live!Update computer. An internet connection is NOT required for every computer on the network, only the CAT-5 Live!Update computer. This feature alone is worth its weight in gold. You and your IT staff no longer have to worry about receiving, distributing and installing system updates. CAT-5 takes care of it seamlessly.

CAT-5 DEMO Available!

The CAT-5 DEMO is not merely a "slide show" of smoke and mirrors, it is the release version of CAT-5 with all of the functionality enabled except the ability to change the DEMO company information. The demo comes setup with demo data for customers, vendors, employees, inventory, users, bank accounts and general ledger, so you will not have to spend very much time getting it setup just to give it a test run. Also, it is network ready, so if you really want to give it a good test run, you are welcomed to install the CAT-5 database on a server and install the client software on the workstations.
